SharkNinja Recalls 1.8M Ninja Pressure Cookers After 100+ Burn Reports
May 2025 — SharkNinja has recalled more than 1.8 million Ninja Pressure Cookers after 106 burn injury reports and dozens of lawsuits were filed nationwide.
The problem is that the lid may not lock properly, allowing users to open the pressure cooker while it is still pressurized. This can eject the scalding-hot contents onto anyone nearby, causing burn injuries.

April 21, 2023 — SharkNinja has been sued by a woman who claims that she was left with severe burn injuries when the lid exploded off a Ninja Foodi TenderCrisp Air Fryer & Pressure Cooker.
The lawsuit was filed by Carrie S., a woman from Rhode Island who allegedly suffered “severe and substantial burn injuries” in January 2021 while cooking with the Ninja Foodi TenderCrisp.
